TCO launches GW Inventor Portal

GW inventors may submit and sign invention disclosures online

August 05, 2020

In an effort to increase convenience and transparency for GW inventors, today GW TCO launched the GW Inventor Portal. Inventors and creators and their administrative assistants may fill out, save, and submit their technology disclosure forms online on the GW Inventor Portal. Once TCO review confirms the form is complete and it is accepted, then the inventors may sign the form digitally inside the GW Inventor Portal system. This system will also increase the accuracy and efficiency of data entry into our intellectual property management database, which connects directly to the GW Inventor Portal. Furthermore, GW inventors will be able to continuously monitor the status of patents and agreements associated with disclosures that have been submitted online.

GW Faculty, Staff, and Students with a GW NetID may access the GW Inventor Portal through GW's Single Sign-On (SSO) system.

Medical Faculty Associates (MFA) may contact Brian Coblitz ([email protected], 202-994-4345) to get set up for access to the GW Inventor Portal via a separate affiliate login website.

TCO would like to thank those inventors that contributed their time to beta-testing to help make this launch successful. We are excited to continue to improve our services and work together to create societal impact through commercialization.

Please reach out by email ([email protected]) or phone (202-994-1917) if you have any questions about using the GW Inventor Portal. As a backup option, the old Microsoft Word form is still available from our website.
