As a comprehensive research university, GW boasts more than 35 chartered research institutes and dozens of school-based research centers. Our faculty and students pioneer breakthroughs in a wide range of disciplines, from the life sciences to the physical sciences. We will then contact you with technology summaries for your review and can facilitate licensing, collaboration, or sponsored research relationships.

Our Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Matching Fund helps startups collaborate with GW researchers to develop innovations licensed from GW. Applications from startups are considered on a rolling basis and may be submitted at any time. Guidelines and application information are available on our SBIR Matching Fund page.
