The GW Technology Commercialization Office (TCO) participated in this year's Maryland Tech Council’s 2025 Bio Innovation Conference, held on September 4 at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center. Hosted by the Maryland Tech Council, the event brought together biotech leaders, researchers, investors, and policymakers from across the Mid-Atlantic and beyond to explore the latest breakthroughs shaping the future of life sciences and health innovation. Throughout the day, attendees engaged in a full program of panels and roundtables covering critical industry topics - from AI in clinical research and biomanufacturing innovation to non-dilutive funding strategies and U.S. life science cluster growth. Highlights included a fireside chat with FDA Commissioner Dr. Marty Makary, sessions on accessing capital in a risk-averse environment, and an institutional investor keynote on the power of storytelling to drive company value.
