Bio Health Capital Region Forum
The George Washington University Technology Commercialization Office (TCO) recently returned from the 11th Annual BioHealth Capital Region Forum, hosted at U.S. Pharmacopeia (USP) in Rockville, Maryland. The Forum convened more than 1,100 leaders across government, academia, and industry, serving as the premier gathering for the region’s thriving biopharma ecosystem. Throughout the two-day event, sessions spotlighted emerging trends in BioHealth investment, the evolving role of university innovation in commercialization, and new pathways for academia–industry collaboration. The TCO team had the opportunity to showcase GW research, connect with longtime partners, and forge new relationships with innovators and investors across the BioHealth community.
Events like these demonstrate the importance of building bridges between academia, industry, and capital - a mission central to GW TCO’s work. The BioHealth Capital Region continues to stand out as one of the nation’s most dynamic innovation hubs, home to more than 2,300 life science companies, 78 federal labs, and numerous leading research institutions.
