Background
Diptadip Dattaroy is responsible for commercializing researchers’ life science inventions at George Washington University. His duties include working with researchers to identify their valuable early stage technologies, developing intellectual property protections for those technologies, and then licensing the results with relevant industries.
Before joining George Washington University in April 2022, Diptadip was employed as a Lifesciences Business Strategist at BioHealth Innovation, Inc. Prior to that he worked as a Technology Transfer Manager at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) where he managed a diverse portfolio of inventions and negotiated licenses as well as other technology transfer agreements.
Diptadip received his PhD in Environmental Health Sciences from the University of South Carolina, Columbia in 2017. After PhD, he pursued a postdoctoral fellowship at the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK). Throughout his PhD and postdoc, Diptadip studied cellular and molecular mechanisms of metabolic disorders like non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and type-2 diabetes.
